Solarus is a free and open-source game engine, licensed under GPL v3. It is written from scratch in C++ and uses SDL2. Consequently, it is compatible with a large set of platforms. You can explore the source code if you’re curious.

根据我的理解则是： Solarus是一个开源的，受保护的，功能强大的自由软件-2DRPG动作游戏引擎。 他的底层由C++编写，这为游戏的运行效率打下了很好的基础。而在开发游戏的过程一般只需要用到LUA就可以做绝大多数事情，而引擎的内容对普通开发者来说不用去动。
